Where are the Games?
When are the DYB Board Meeting for Volunteers? What is the difference between DYB (Dedham Youth Basketball) and Metro West Basketball? What Day is the games? What about snow days? How do I know what division my child is in? When do we find out what team we are on and the times we play? Can I sign up for Metro West here? What day is the last day of sign ups? I don't get any e-mails why? What do I do if I would like to donate to DYB as a sponsor? When is the Challenger League? How long are the games? What is included when I sign up? Only 5 kids play at a time, how does players time pan out? CORI?? If I volunteer do I need to do a CORI? Parents actions? Are there any practices during the week? How are the kids put in a division and what does it mean? Where are the schedules? Are all the baskets regulation?
All games are played Nobles, Dedham Middle School, or Dedham High School.
All DYB Board Meetings are held at the Endicott Estate @ 7:00pm.? All meetings are announced in the news and announcement links.
Dedham Youth Basketball (DYB) is open to all town residents from grades K-9. Every child plays. Metro West Basketball is the town travel league which is separate from (DYB) and in which there are tryouts to see who makes the team and it is more competitive.

DYB is set up by grades: K=Instructional B-2 G-2 Grades 1-2 Games and Instructional B-4 G-4 Grades 3-4 with referees B-6 G-6 Grades 5-6 with referees B-9 G-9 Grades 7-9 with referees

Every DYB player gets a Team T-shirt to wear for games
There is gym time for teams to scrimmage and have clinics on Tuesdays and Thursdays during January and February from 6:00pm-7:15pm and 7:15-8:30pm at the Dedham Community House Gym. All times are first come, first served.? Sign ups for the gyms will be announced after sign ups are complete and teams assigned.
How are the kids put in a division and what does it mean? For example when you see K=Kindergarden G-2 = grades 1-2 B-2 = grades 1-2 G-4 = grades 3-4 B-4 = grades 3-4 G-6 = grades 5-6 B-6 = grades 5-6 G-9 = grades 7-8-9 B-9 = grades 7-8-9 All kids are placed on a team by grade only. There are no move ups due to talent coaches etc. Challenger League is set up for all to play get instruction.
